Bigger and better than ever…
The Precision Shooters JOAD based out of PSE
Tucson hosted the ASAA Indoor Championship for the second year. Over
sixty competitors took part in the 1200 round 18-meter tourney. (60
arrows each day)
PSE made some great range improvements resulting
in fourteen spacious lanes and a very large open spectator area with
bleachers. The dominant range feature was the new large LED time clock
made available by Alan Huff (Sportable Scoreboards ST-15).
Kathy Greene led this Star FITA tournament as the
Director of Shooting (DOS) with Alan Huff filling in when Kathy competed.
Mike Koistinen and Alan Huff judged. Teresa and Alan Huff took on the
tournament director administrative effort and securing the awards. They
deserve a sincere thank you from all of us.
PSJ created a special evening line on Saturday
night that allowed 15 collegiate and Dine' College area archers to finish
their 1200 rounds early. This evening line allowed them to make the 8 hour
drive back to NE Arizona and be ready for the next school day.
At tournament end, elegant engraved clear acrylic
plaques were awarded to the first, second and third place finishers.
