2003 World Indoor
Target champions return
March 12, 2003 Junior Compound Aprilyn Witt and Senior Compound Jessica
Grant represented Arizona on the 2003 US World Indoor Team competing in Nimes
France last week. The US team first had to overcome some delayed or lost
luggage including bow cases. Then the
real competition began. Aprilyn won Gold as part of the Junior Female Compound
team. Jessica Grant won Gold as part of the Senior Female
Compound team and also an individual Silver medal. These two archers along with the coach of the Junior Team,
Mark Penaz, were quite weary of travel when they returned from France and
were really happy to be home. Congratulate them when you see them. Quite an accomplishment!
