Arizonans Jessi Grant and Ted Harden were 2002 US National Junior World Championship team members and competed in the Czech Republic.

There may be 9 AZJOADs interested in attending the 2004 Trials in Salt Lake City in June.

So far, AZJOAD has raised $800 total in two fundraising events to support the 2004 US Junior World Team that will compete in Great Britain.

The monies raised will support first, Arizona JOADs, who might be fortunate enough to win a position on the 2004 team.  If no Arizonans, then Western Region JOADs, and then finally, National at large.

(The latest posted NAA plans are that three out of four Junior division members of the team will be self-funded and will need our help.  All Cadet division members are self-funded and need our support, too. So far it looks like the NAA will be fund the coaches and support staff.) See BOG minutes

Our first AZJOAD Junior World Team fundraiser took place in November at the Longbow Golf Course.

The second and final AZJOAD 2003 fundraiser was the recent December Fall Star FITA.

The $800 dollars raised so far will go a long way in support of the self-funded archers.

(The cost to travel and compete may be about $3,000 for one JOAD.)

Let us know if you would like to donate to the effort through the Arizona State Archery Association 501 C 3 Non profit tax status.

Also let us know if you have an idea for a fundraiser and/or would like to host a fundraiser.
