Papago Park 2004 Winter Schedule includes Classes

Arizona Junior and Senior Olympic Archery Development (AZ JOAD/SOAD) are pleased to announce its regular event schedule for the Papago Park Archery Range.  Led by AZSOAD coordinator, John Howland, the Papago program is slated for Saturday mornings of non-event weekends.  Archers of all ages are welcome.

 

Classes begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday mornings.

2004 January / February Schedule: 

 

January 17th      Practice

January 24th       Practice - tentative schedule pending verification.

January 31st       No Practice due to the ASAA State Indoor Championship in Tucson

February 7th       Practice

February 14th     Practice

February 21st    Practice even though it is the same weekend as Vegas

February 28th     2/3 Metric 900 aka. Easton Round, more information at www.azarchery.com

 

Note that dates are subject to change.  Indoor practice events and locations are to be determined.

 

JOADs and Seniors, with or without equipment are welcome to join in.  We have bows and arrow to use for those that don’t.   A donation of $2 to $5 per day is suggested to help pay for replacement paper targets, target cores, supplies and equipment.  There are no Papago Park Fees.

 

For those of you already familiar with Papago Park, these events and open practices will be using tournament type 52” foam butts on wood stands.  The steel frames and excelsior bales will not be used.

 

The new 30 meter call-in  (hosted by ASAA’s Ted Harden) is sure to be a popular event at Papago.
