AZ Game and Fish Department, Ben Avery Shooting
Facility, Arrowhead Materials, Kilauea Crushers
and Mel Nichols teamed up to increase the
BASF parking lot to the west and provide for a new
storage area.
As
a result, the ASAA and AZ Junior and Collegiate
Archery storage units needed to be moved. Dean
Keiborz, Steve Yturralde, Clinton
Costello, Mel Nichols, Mark Penaz,
Bob Pian and Janice Price volunteered
on Saturday 3-1-08 to unload, move and reload the
units. Keiborz, Penaz and Nichols trailers helped to
make the move go smoothly.
A
commercial towing company (Western Towing) moved the
containers in an hour and a half. By days end, Mel
had fine graded the new parking lot and the area
where the old units were stored.
Thank you to all the volunteers! We could not get
the job done without you!
The next field prep for the weekend is March 15-16,
2008. Email
azjoad@cox.net if you are considering coming out
and volunteering.
Sunday March 2 The storage units
contents were sorted and the trash and old items
were taken to the dumpster.
