Sept. 10, 2015		Upcoming Fall tournaments: 2015 Target Autism, September 19th and 20th. Great tournament for beginner and experience archers! Recurve, Compound and Barebow divisions. Bowman, Cub, Cadet, Junior, Senior and Master classes. 1 Day event that can be shot during one of these three remaining time slots: Saturday Morning, Saturday Afternoon, Sunday Morning. The 900 Round that Papago has been staple in the Arizona shooting community for years. The Papago club does an awesome job and we love shooting in them! These fill up quickly! The one is their Halloween shoot, so costumes are allowed (safety comes first)! Sept. 10, 2015		U.S. Team Trials for World Archery Indoor Championships dates have been changed. The event will now take place December 18-20, 2015 at Ingham County Fair Grounds in Mason, Michigan. Friday afternoon will be check-in, equipment inspection and practice, Saturday will be 120 arrows of qualification and Sunday will be round robin matches for the top 8 archers in each category. There will be categories for compound and recurve, juniors and seniors. Registration will open soon. Please contact Sheri Rhodes at shreds@usarchery.org with any questions.
Sept. 3, 2015		The 2016 Easton JOAD Nationals, National Target Championships and U.S. Open will take place July 13-17, 2016 at the Jack Allen Recreation Complex in Decatur, Alabama. June 8, 2015		Twelve students took part in the June 2015 USA Archery Arizona one day rules and judges seminar. Desert Destroyers, Paseo Vista, Papago Archery, Arizona Archery Club, Desert Sky and Prescott were represented. The group included those interested in becoming judges, coaches, club volunteers and archers. The seminar was presented by international judges Bob Pian and Mike Cullumber. “Teaching rules and judging is an essential part of providing quality archery events at every level.” Bob Pian “Having judges at many different clubs allows more clubs to be able to host tourneys” Please welcome new judges when you see them helping at upcoming tourneys.
