Traffic Update
- If I-17 Northbound exit 223 to Carefree Hwy is backed-up, proceed north to
Exit 225 Pioneer Road and then come back south on I-17 and exit the Carefree
Hwy. This will avoid a tricky left hand turn. Traffic is heavy
and drivers take chances. Be Careful!

Interstate-17
Freeway Congestion
The
Freeway between the Crowne Plaza and Ben Avery is very congested!
The normal drive time is 30 minutes.
It may
take 45 minutes or longer to make the drive during peak travel
times.
Note
that when the Ben Avery High Power Rifle Range is in use, the
normal drive entrance to the FITA Archery range maybe closed. A small sign is
posted at the main entrance when rifle range is in use.
When the normal drive is closed, access to the FITA range is
available via the Clay Target Range entry (West Entry) located
approximately 1.5 miles to the west of the Ben Avery Main Entry.
This west entrance to the archery range is normally closed.
See
Ben Avery Layout
for map.
