New Tournament Director
appointed for the Arizona Cup, April
5-8, 2006:
Kari Granville, Sun
Devil Archery Club team coordinator has been selected as the 2006
Arizona Cup Tournament Director.
-
Kari has served as
Tournament Director for the ASAA Outdoor Championship, AZJOAD
Outdoor Championship and the Duel in the Desert Trials.
-
She is also the tournament
director for the ASAA Outdoor Championship April 1-2, 2006.
-
Her archery achievements
include being a two time Collegiate Archery All American at Arizona
State University.
Kari takes over for long
time Arizona Cup Tournament Director Mike Koistinen. Mike
and Vivian Koistinen were the driving force of the Arizona Cup
from 2000 to 2005. Under Mike's leadership the AZ Cup was
brought to it’s Phoenix home at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility and
put the infrastructure and process into place to accommodate over 256
archers at one shooting time.
“I
have accomplished what I set out to do and that was to re-establish
the Arizona Cup as a top quality international FITA tournament” said
Koistinen upon informing the board of his resignation.
The ASAA thanks Mike and
Vivian for their tireless efforts serving the Arizona, NAA and the
FITA archery community at large.
Contact Kari at
sundevilarchery@yahoo.com
to volunteer for the 2006 Arizona Cup and the ASAA Outdoor
Championship. |
