Arizona's Maggie Huff and Brady Ellison to compete on
the
2006
US Junior World Championship Archery Team
News
Brief:
The 2006 US Jr World Championship Team Trials took place in a
week long competition in Colorado Springs, Colorado in
the first week in August.
Annette Gorelik,
Maku Wood,
and Max Lambert competed in the qualifying
rounds.
Robyn Repp, Ryan Davis
and Tony Don made it to the top 8 and took part
in the round robin matches, which featured a new scoring
system that rewards points for high scoring matches and
match wins.
Maggie Huff
won the top spot on the US Junior Female Recurve Team
and Brady Ellison won the top spot on the US
Junior Male Recurve Team.
Congratulation to this pair to top Arizona JOADs!
The
2006 US Junior World Championship team of 24 archers
will travel to Merida, Mexico October 14-21 for the 9th
Junior World Archery Championships. The team will
consist of male and female, junior and cadet, and
compound and recurve archers.
Brady
Ellison is a Resident Archer (RA) and trains with US
National Coach Kisik Lee at the Chula Vista Olympic
Training Center.
Maggie
Huff, Tucson is coached by former Jr. Champion and now
PSE Archery Engineer, Allen Rasor who credits
Maggie’s success to her dedicated hard work. Maggie
will begin Collegiate Archery at Arizona State
University this fall.
