Four Arizona Collegiate Archery Clubs
competed in the 2006 US Intercollegiate Archery
Championship held on the campus of UCLA, May 18-21,
2006.
Team leader Tina Blake had a team
of four come from Embry Riddle Aeronautic University,
Golden Eagles, in Prescott. For the Golden Eagles
it was their first USIACs “ever” and they are excited
about bring back what they learned and working at what
it takes to perform better next year.
Dine' College, Warriors, brought
the largest Arizona team with a roster of eight archers
plus Coach Greg Redhouse. This is quite an
accomplishment as Dine' College is a two year school.
The Arizona State University,
Sun Devil Archery, totaled four archers plus team
leader, Kari Granville.
The University of Arizona, Bowcats
were represent by Ali Wood. Ali was one of about
160 Collegiate archers from all across the USA that
competed in the National Championship.
The tournament venue was located in the
middle of the beautiful UCLA campus on a large multi
purpose turf soccer field. Many people just walking by
dropped in to watch making for a fun setting.
Everyone agreed that UCLA did a great job hosting the
tournament.
