Heads up JOAD families, there are four key indoor tourneys for JOADs in AZ.  They are:

• USA Archery Arizona Indoor Championship: 5/6/7 January 2018 (Includes JOAD categories) https://form.jotform.com/72815519651158   The best shooting times fill up fast, sign up ASAP. 

• USA Archery Arizona JOAD Indoor Championship:  27/28 January, Registration information is pending.

• USA Archery Indoor nationals, in Salt Lake City UT 19/20/21 January, Albuquerque NM 2/3/4 February,  and Chula Vista CA 2/3/4 March https://www.teamusa.org/USA-Archery/News/Features/2017/October/25/USA-Archery-Opens-Registration-for-2018-Indoor-Nationals  For JOADS the event is actually two tournaments (national indoor and JOAD indoor championship) be sure to sign up for both.   Many Arizonans will be competing in ABQ in 2018.  Arizonans also enjoy Chula Vista even though space is limited.  And some AZ folks compete in Salt Lake City, too. 

• The Vegas Shoot:  9/10/11 February 2018 https://www.nfaausa.com/tournament/the-vegas-shoot/ The SouthPoint fills up fast!

Sign up early for the indoor season, the tourneys fill up fast!  Vegas and USA Archery registration types are very different, if in doubt, ask the tourney.

2017 Arizona State JOAD Outdoor April 29-30

• The 2017 Arizona State JOAD Outdoor,  April 29-30, 2017.  

• The event is being held at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility FITA Range, and will be Star FITA Registered.

2017 AZ JOAD Indoor, Feb 4-5  http://usaarizonajoad.org/?p=1053  Great preparation for both Vegas and USA Archery Indoor Nationals.  Phoenix.

2017 VEGAS SHOOT, FEB 10-12 https://www.nfaausa.com/tournament/the-vegas-shoot/ This is the tourney for many Arizonans.  Different rules than USA Archery events including age categories and bow divisions, plus they change target face and shooting order mid way thru each 300 round. South Point Casino Hotel, Las Vegas.

2017 USA Archery JOAD and Indoor National Championship (held in multiple regional sites)  http://www.teamusa.org/USA-Archery/Events/National-Events/Indoor-Nationals17/Albuquerque  There are two tourneys for JOADS, Friday night JOAD championship followed by Saturday and Sunday National Championship with JOAD categories.  JOAD, be sure to sign up for both.

•  Salt Lake City, UT March 10-11-12

•  Chula Vista, CA Registration is closed

2017 Arizona Cup, April 7-9, www.arizonacup.net  This is the top Arizona Tourney.  A USA Archery Team Qualifier in our own back yard.  Phoenix, AZ.  A must shoot.

• Western Regional Collegiate Championship, 1-2 April 2017, Sacramento, CA.

• Judge Seminar, 17-19 June 2017, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA International and Continental Judges by WA Judge Committee.  http://www.coparco.org/  (Registration pending)  The seminar is open to all.  A great way to learn the international standard of judging and rules application.

• U.S. National Outdoor Collegiate Championships, 18-21 May 2017, Chula Vista CA.

• Easton Foundation Gator Cup, 26-28 May 2017, Newberry Florida.

• Nation Field Championship and World Field Team Trials, June 2-4, 2017, Darrington, WA

• World Youth Team Trials, 7-9 July 2017 Lansing, MI

• World Para Team Trials, 14-16 July 2017, Easton Salt Lake Archery Center, SLC, UT.

• 2017 JOAD Nationals and National Target Championships, August 2-6, 2017,  Westfield, Indiana, an all new venue near Indianapolis.

• Easton Foundation So Cal Showdown, 24-26 August 2017 Chula Vista, CA.

• Texas Shootout, September 22-24, 2017 College Station Texas.

• World Indoor Team Trials,  3-5 November 2017 Newberry, FL.  This is a great place for JOADS to test out international level competition as a Junior team trials competitor.

• Iron Archer,  18-19 November 2017,  Phoenix, Not really a national level tourney but a great place to see what it like to compete in a USA Archery team trials style event.

2017 AZ JOAD INDOOR, FEB 4-5

Registration is now open for the Arizona State JOAD Indoor.  The event is being held at the Ben Avery Indoor Range on February 4 – 5th.
