The Second Annual Arizona JOAD Club Team Vegas Showdown competition took place at the 2006 World Archery Festival in Las Vegas. 

• 22 JOAD archers participated from three JOAD clubs. 

• Many of the archers and their families enjoyed dinner together on Friday night at the Circus Circus buffet. 

• We hope this will be a new Arizona tradition for JOADs and their families.

Success can be measured in many different ways: 

• first national tournament,

• best 300 round in a tournament,

• most consistent shooting in a tournament,

• new insights into how to improve shooting technique, etc.

All of the archers enjoyed success and a few won medals in their categories.

• First Place – Straight N Arrow JOAD, Straight N Arrow Archery, Phoenix - 2564  (9 archers)

• Second Place – Mesa Targeteers JOAD,  Archery Headquarters, Chandler - 2222    ( 9 archers)

• Third Place – Precision Shooters JOAD, PSE, Tucson - 1909   (4 archers)

• Cub Female Recurve – First Place - Karissa Yamaguchi (Mesa Targeteers)

• Cub Male Recurve – First Place – Nathan Yamaguchi (Mesa Targeteers)

• Cub Male Recurve – Second Place – Barrett Logan (Mesa Targeteers)

• Young Adult Female Recurve – First Place – Maggie Huff (Precision Shooters)

• Young Adult Male Recurve – Second Place – Max Lambert (Mesa Targeteers)
