The JOAD Indoor Championship 600 round usually takes place on Friday night.

The 2006 USA Archery Indoor Nationals 1200 round takes place with a 600 round on Saturday and Sunday.

Remember, archers need arrive and be set up before check in, and official practice!

At the USA Archery Indoor Nationals, All shoot a 40 cm face with compound archers scoring the inner 10 ring and recurve archers scoring the outer 10 ring.  (FITA style)

At the JOAD Indoor Championship 600 Cub and Bowman recurve archers shoot a 60 cm face and score the outer 10 ring

At the JOAD Indoor Championship 600 Cub and Bowman compound archers shoot a 40 cm face and score the outer 10 ring

At the JOAD Indoor Championship 600 Cadets and Junior score the same as in the USA Indoor Nationals 1200.

Also, tie breakers are 10 then 9s.

(Hits are not counted or used in FITA or USA Archery; Xs are only counted for outdoor FITA and USA archery only)

Finally, judges often know the FITA rules, but not the JOAD rules.

Veteran JOAD parents with active JOAD’s are often the best source for current rules and information.

Keep insisting that the judge look up a rule, if you know it is correct.
