Much took place at the
work party.
All distances were
re-marked in meters and yards. Lanes were striped and excess foliage and
weeds were removed improving the appearance of the range and removing
brush fire fuel.
There were a total of
12 volunteers.
Six from the
Papago FITA Archers; Barbara Noblet, John Howland,
Mike Cullumber, Mary Jo Dhein, Kelly Dhein and
John Heffelfinger.
Six from Sun
Devil Archery at ASU; Kari Jill Granville, Ted Harden,
Lindsay Pian, Ashley Votruba, Chris Mullen and
Chase Allen.
We all worked from
12:00 to 3:00.
Park Rangers Victor
Romo and Fernando Espericueta oversaw and helped.
On April 1st, a Boy
Scout group will install a split rail fence to provide a barrier between
the parking lot and the range. The city has also expanded the paved
parking lot.
Come by and have a
look.
